The Jarvis name is well known in Toronto.  This article explores the history of some of the family, from William Jarvis, who served with Lt. Col. John Graves Simcoe in the Revolutionary War, to Aemilius Jarvis, convicted in 1924 of conspiracy to defraud the Province of Ontario.  It also provides a short history of Hazelburn, the house built by Samuel Peters Jarvis on Park Lot 6, property that would later be the site of the street named after this Toronto family.
