Andrew Marshall is the great-great-great-grandson of John Montgomery, owner of the tavern that once stood on Yonge Street (just north of present-day Eglinton Avenue) where William Lyon Mackenzie and others gathered in 1837 in their short-lived attempt to change the colonial government of Upper Canada. Drawing on published works, Marshall presents a biography of his famous ancestor and what happened to him during and after the Rebellion.
